News 12 | Bruna P. Lawant Joins Pacifica Global as its first Blockchain and Governance Researcher

 

Pacifica Global, LLC, a leading international advisory firm focused on complex corporate governance, anti-corruption, and regulatory issues is pleased to announce that Bruna P. Lawant has joined the firm as its first Blockchain and Governance Researcher.

Bruna has more than 6 years of experience as a corporate attorney in Brazil, advising from startups to listed companies. Bruna recently graduated from the LL.M. program in Corporate Governance and Practice at Stanford Law School.

Bruna’s most recent experience included structuring and incorporating new businesses with local and international founders, advising on early-stage equity structures and negotiating with angel investors and venture capitalists. Previously, Bruna has acted as counsel to several companies and financial institutions in securities listing and delisting processes, assisted in M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations and corporate advisory for listed and non-listed companies. Bruna has worked in more than 30 equity and debt capital markets transactions between 2006 and 2011.

Bruna will be researching the myriad ways in which blockchain technology could impact corporate governance in private and public companies.
